I won't be posting cards for a few days.  My husband's father passed away late last night.  Thanks for all the support we've already received.

I used Hezzy this time around - you don't have to use a PandS stamp, but we'd love it if you can!  Not sure if you can tell, but I used my clean copic to make "feathers" on her.  The chicken tracks on the dsp are also from the same set.

I Wanna Be a Beach Bum!

Even with the scorching temperatures this week, I could live at the beach.  A perfect day would be a slight breeze, my feet in the sand, a frozen drink in one hand and my Kindle in the other.  Thus the inspiration for my card today using the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoaststampers today to use a tag.

Card details:
Stamps - Beach Cocoa (Sweet & Sassy)
Cardstock - Bermuda Bay (SU), white
Accessories - copics, border punch, twine, oval punch

Today was a very busy day.  I got up early and made my card and then went to help a friend clean out/organize her stamping room.  She thinks I'm nuts because I had fun.  I knew this card was missing something, and after 2 consultations, I was told that you can color pearls!  Didn't know that!  So.......that's what I added.  The sketch is from The Sweet Stop and I got my inspiration from the IC today at Splitcoaststampers, using this picture.

Card details:
Stamps - A Song in My Heart (Paper and Such)
Cardstock - MME, Not Quite Navy (SU), white, Summer Sunrise (PTI)

Finding Mojo

There are days in a stampers life where nothing you do seems to look like what it does in your head.  Today's challenge that I chose to do was the Clean and Simple sketch - easy, right?  Well.......the mojo wasn't flowing today and I really had a tough time with this one.  I wanted to use this image and paper, but just wasn't sure if they worked well together.  I decided to just go for it - let me know what you think!

Card details:
Stamps - Unknown (can anyone help?), Fillable Frames #4 (PTI)
Cardstock - Delightful Daffodil, Rich Razzelberry, Soft Suede (all SU), dsp

Bucky's back!

Yup - another Bucky card!  He is just the cutest chicken around.  I combined several challenges with this card.  Not only the Sketch and Ways to Use It over at Splitcoaststampers, but the embossing challenge at Paper Pretties too.  My shopping trip to Michael's yesterday resulted in me finally finding some Tim Holtz embossing folders!  YEA!  I almost went with the woodgrain one on this card, but now I'm glad that I stuck with the brick pattern.  I swipped some brown ink over it to give it a bit more detail.  What do you think?

Card details:
Stamps - Bucky (Paper and Such)
Cardstock - Riding Hood Red (SU), Soft Suede (SU), Summer Sunrise (PTI), dsp
Accessories - burlap ribbon, hardware, embossing folder, copics

Starbucks and Bling.....

.....what could be better?!  I chose to combine the Clean & Simple sketch challenge with the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi challenge to use bling.  I'm not sure how well it shows up, but the DSP has glitter on it and the "holder" on the cup has been run thru my crimper (had to dig to find that thing) to look like cardboard.  I was able to paper piece the holder by printing out two of this image and using one as a template.

Card details:
Stamps - Cocoa's Latte, Tea Time Cocoa (SNS)
Cardstock - white, Blushing Bride (SU), Riding Hood Red (SU)
Accessories - rhinestones, punches, copics, ribbon

Vintage Collage

For today's Ways to Use it Challenge, we were asked to make our own collage using at least 4 stamps.  After several attempts and many different variations, this is what I came up with.....

After I stamped the music image, I then used my Soft Suede ink pad to apply some ink to the paper to give it a more distressed look.

Card details:
Stamps - Baroque Motifs (SU), Upsy Daisy (SU), Sheet Music (PTI)
Cardstock - Vintage Cream (PTI), Chocolate Chip (SU), Vintage Violet (SU)
Accessories - pearls, primas, embossing folder

Hmmmmmm.......

I set out today to make a triple threat card (3 challenges in one card).  I'm liking how the birds turned out and the rest of the card, but not 100% on the overall color combo.  I like The Color Throwdown's site because it stretches my limits.  This one was a real challenge, however!  I used the Sketch Challenge from Splitcoaststampers today as well as Paper Pretties animal theme.

Card details:
Stamps - A Song in my Heart (Paper and Such)
Cardstock - white, Certainly Celery (SU), dsp
Accessories - Embossing folder, copics, SU markers

Birds a plenty!

I guess I'm kinda hooked on this set.  I think this is the 2nd day in a row I've gone to it to make a card and I've only had it 2 days!  This is also for The Sweetest Thing blog sketch.  I turned the sketch on it's side when it didn't go the way I wanted it to.  That's what I love about doing them - you can tweak them to make them your own.

I'm also showing you a side view as I paper pieced the birds and secured them with glue dots.  I haven't found a sentiment that I want for this card.  I may just end up waiting until I have a person to send it to and then choose one.

Card details:
Stamps - A Song In My Heart (Paper and Such)
Cardstock - Fine Linen (PTI), Sweet Blush (PTI), Rich Razzelberry (SU), dsp
Accessories - border punch, ribbon, nail heads
