It's almost time - are you ready????

It's almost time for Christmas and Paper and Such wants to know if you have your cards done or are you still finishing the last touches?  Maybe you're even one of those who wait until the last possible moment.  If so, Paper and Such's challenge is just for you!  Here's to all of those who make last minute Christmas cards.  I normally don't wait must past Thanksgiving to do mine, but I always need a few extra for those who send cards to me that I wasn't expecting.  I made up this little cutie using my new Wild Rose stamp - isn't he adorable!!

Challenge time at Paper and Such!

It's time again for another Paper and Such challenge!  This time, you're to make a card WITHOUT coloring the image!  *GASP*  You can, however, stamp it on dsp or colored cardstock - which is what I did.  I used some dsp from my stash, my new Sweet 'N Sassy die and some vintage lace from my friend, Stacy.  I intended for it to be a Thanksgiving card, but it can be used for almost any occasion.

Stamps - Fall Flowers (Paper and Such)
Cardstock - SU, TAC
Accessories - die, vintage lace, tag, twine

Paper and Such Challenge Time

This time around Paper and Such is hosting a paper piecing challenge.  So get out all your scrap dsp and have fun!  I used an old Coluzzle template (remember those?).  I almost got rid of it a while back, but now I'm glad that I hung onto it.  I'm in a Secret Santa swap with some stamping buddies and thought this would make a great addition to the box - filled with some goodies, of course!

Stamps - Snow Folks (PAS)
Cardstock - dsp, white
Accessories - rhinestones, nesties, liquid applique, punch, coluzzle template

Dog-gone adorable!

As many of you know by now, we've become temporary foster parents of an adorable 1-year old Bloodhound named Sampson.  His "dad" is in the Army Reserves and isn't able to keep him while being deployed to Afghanistan.  Through Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pets, we were able to volunteer to be his family until he can be reunited with his real family in a year.  If you have room in your heart and home for one (or more!) pets, please fill out the volunteer application on their page!!!  There are many pets that will have to be given away or put in shelters because our service members don't have anyone to watch them when they are deployed.  Please help if you can!!!

This is the card I made to sent to Sampson's Dad as soon as we have an address for him.  I used the sketch from this week's Sweetest Thing blog challenge.  I plan on putting a cute message inside, a picture and maybe even get him to sign his name.  :)

Card details:
Cardstock - PTI, Basic Gray
Accessories - brads

This is Sampson - isn't he just the cutest!!!

Crafty Creations Challenge

Paper and Such is sponsoring a challenge for the Crafty Creations blog this week.  The challenge is to make a Christmas B'day card and best of all - you could win a $10 gift certificate to Paper and Such!!!!!  Now, as some of you know, my b'day is the day after Christmas.  My parents were always good about keeping the two events separate - I never got b'day presents in leftover Christmas paper and I didn't have a "combined" present either.  They were good to make it feel like a special day.
