My favorite things....

While searching thru some of the challenge blogs that I like to participate in, I came across Paper Pretties for this week.  Their challenge was to use your favorite image.  Right now that happens to be Paper and Such's Poppy stamp.  I love coloring this with my copics and practicing blending all sorts of shades.  My favorite color is purple and since I haven't done a purple poppy yet, it made my decision easier still!  I also used the sketch from Just Us Girls for this week.

Wings and things

I came across this image from my friend, Stacy, while going thru one of my boxes and knew instantly that it would be perfect for the Allsorts challenge for this week.  I combined it with the CPS sketch.  The big polka dot brads were also in my stash and I think they go perfectly with all the colors.  I actually put a sentiment on the inside that Stacy sent too.  "If you can't stand the heat, don't tickle the dragon!".

Flashback Friday

I can honestly say that I wasn't too thrilled with this challenge that's sponsored by Paper and Such......but.......... it's all about ownership and growth!  I had to search my SCS gallery for my very first paper pieced card and it's not pretty, lemme tell you.  It was actually kinda of funny looking back thru the first pages of my gallery (and not deleting them - LOL).  I can see how much better I've become and know that I still have LOTS to learn.  Here goes nothing.........*drum roll please*
