Bling-y weekend!

This past weekend, I participated in my very first Virtual Stamp Night.  Over at SCS, we had 17 challenges to do over the weekend.  I have completed 15 of them so far!  While I have many favorites - this is one on the top of my list.

Apple Season!

In my little area of the world, it's almost apple season.  Not too far from here we have TONS of apple orchards and even a huge craft celebration in honor of picking time.  I thought this little guy would be a perfect way to help bring in this time of year.

Flutterby Stitches

A friend showed me a challenge hosted by Flower Soft and I just had to try it out.  I'm slowly getting used to this product and using it more and more.  We had to create a project with flower soft and some stitching (real or faux).  I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch from this week.

Paper and Such Challenge Time

It's time for another challenge over at Paper and Such!  This time, we were asked to make a card with a farm animal.  Pretty easy, right!?  I went to my favorite - Bucky!  He's so much fun to color and I paired him up with some fun dsp this time too.

Clean & Simple layouts

Clean & simple layouts are so lovely because you can see the image, and get the message of the card clearly.  Not a lot of extra stuff to crowd it all up.  Not that I don't like a nicely layered card with lots of embellishments, but sometimes you just want something less.  Here's my take on the FTL sketch this week (with a Christmas theme).

Flowers & Lace

I've had this card laying on my work table for a few days now.  I was finally able to find the mojo to finish it!  I used the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge to use lace on a card (Thanks Julie for the lace!) and I used the layout from the Clean & Simple challenge.  I'm not sure how well you can see, but I used my Score-Pal to emboss lines along the far right and bottom of the card.

Color contrast

For this sketch challenge by Paper Pretties, I almost went with a different colored ribbon.  I'm glad that I went with my instinct and kept to a contracting color.  I think it just "pops", don't you?

Happy Birthday Logan!

My oldest son, Logan, turns 16 today!!!!!!!  He is anxiously awaiting going for his permit on Tuesday.  Me........I could wait another year or so.......  It will be nice once he's able to drive himself to work and maybe run some errands for me.  :) :)
