Paper Piecing Challenge

It's time for another challenge over at Paper and Such!  This time around, we're asking you to create something using the paper piecing technique.  It's easy peasy, so go give it a try!  Here's my inspiration card for you.  I did cut out each petal and place them on the base image.  I then "fluffled" them for some 3D effect.

Spring has sprung!

At least my Crocuses thinks so.  They are blooming along the side of my house and look so pretty!  I thought I'd make a Sping-y card since it's supposed to be in the mid-60s here today.  Might as well enjoy it while it lasts, even thru the rain drops, right?

Pretty in Pink

Yesterday's color challenge at SCS was to use the classic combo of pink and gray.  I wanted to go outside the box and, again, chose to use a sentiment as my focal point rather than the usual image colored in pinks.  Hope you like it!

Simply Stitched

Just a quick and easy faux stitched card for you today.  I used the CPS sketch for this week and the CAS challenge at SCS - to use stitching.  Well......since I don't own a sewing machine, nor do I want one, I always have my white gel pen handy.

To start off the week on a bright note, I used the color combo from the Just Us Girls challenge.  I like that I paired it with the Clean & Simple sketch to keep the "brightness" from blinding anyone who hasn't had their second dose of caffeine yet.

Dotted Daffodils

I'm just lovin' this new set from Paper and Such!  I don't think you can tell from the picture, but I added some Sakura gel pen sparkles to highlight the flowers.  It looks really good IRL!  I used the layout from the Clean & Simple blog challenge sketch, however I didn't keep it too CAS.........

Lovin' Poppies

I find myself pulling this set out more and more lately.  Don't know what it is about these poppies, but I just love them!  I made this card using the colors from The Color Throwdown Challenge.  I added texture in the form of flower soft, embossed the main image and added some vintage lace for the Paper Pretties challenge and used one of the CPS sketches from their anniversary week.  Hope you like it!

More Daffodils!

As the snow is falling here in my little corner of the world, I can't help but think of my poor daffodils that thought Spring was here and started to poke their shoots above ground this week.  We've had such a mild winter so far (knock on wood) that I wanted to do another fun card with the Daffodil set being released TOMORROW by Paper and Such!  Thanks to my friend, Janice, for stopping by and giving me some tips to make my card better!
