This Poppy set from Paper and Such is so much fun (not to mention easy) to color! I know that traditional poppies aren't pink, but don't they look great! I incorporated The Sweetest Thing's sketch challenge from this week too.
Stamps - Poppy (PAS)
Cardstock - Vintage Cream, dsp, white, Pretty in Pink
It's challenge time again over at Paper and Such! This time it's a recipe challenge. Are you going all out or perusing the low-cal section? This time around, the prize is a stamp set of your choice! Do what you wish, but you must use at least 3 items off the list:
Everyone in my corner of the world is hoping and praying that this rain is ending soon! We've gone over our normal amount for the year already! My heart goes out to everyone effected by all the flooding.
With that said, I do wanna say TGIF everyone!!!!! I love weekends, mainly because my DH comes home from a long week away at work. We have a busy weekend planned including a day-long event for myself at a local recreational park event where I'm hoping to sell out of all my cards.
This card is one of my last ditch efforts to crank out some more thank you cards - of which you can never have too many. I'm using the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi challenge this week to use a border punch. Have a great weekend everyone!
Stamps - An Apple for Cocoa (SNS)
Cardstock - Green Galore (SU), Pure Poppy (PTI), dsp, white
Accessories - nesties, copics, border punch, embossing folder
Nope, not a royal coffee drink, but some of the colors in the Color Throwdown challenge this week. I've had these hydrangea images staring at me for a while now and figured this was a good time to use them. For me, it was an easy color combo to use. What do you think?
Stamps - Mixed Messages (PTI), Because I Care (SU)
Cardstock - Vintage Cream (PTI), Early Espresso and Regal Rose (SU), white
Recently, I found a blog called CPS - Card Positioning Systems. They have the most wonderful sketches! I love using those in conjunction with a color or themed challenge - such a great way to get the mojo flowing. Here's their sketch from this week:
For the sketch challenge over at The Sweetest Thing, I chose one of my favorite sentiments from a Paper and Such set. I also used some of my new My Mind's Eye paper and was even able to use both sides!!! I also chose an earth tone pallet for the Paper Pretties challenge. Here's the sketch:
and here's my version - I chose to change it up a bit by hiding the bottom portion of the circle layer.
Stamps - A Song in my Heart (PAS)
Cardstock - Vintage Cream (PTI), Early Espresso (SU), MME
For this card, I combined 2 challenges into one. I started with the Allsorts challenge to do a card with flowers and swirls and then I used SCS's clean & simple challenge sketch. Here's what I came up with!
Paper and Such is sponsoring a challenge over at OWH (Operation Write Home) - a great organization that sends blank, handmade greeting cards to our brave men and women serving overseas so that they can keep in touch with their families. Please check out their site HERE and play along - the prize this time is a Paper and Such stamp set of your choice!!!!
It's challenge time over at Paper and Such! This week, we're doing a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. Just use the chart below to pick a row and that's what you need to put on your card! Here's mine - I used the diagonal row going from top right to bottom left.
Stamps - Basketfull of Flowers
Cardstock - Vintage Cream (PTI), black, My Mind's Eye
